Peetu Liesinen

MOOD OPERATOR

7.8.2024 — 1.9.2024

Tm•Gallery’s Fall Season Opens with Peetu Liesinen’s Exhibition Mood Operator. The exhibition showcases a series of Peetu Liesinen’s new paintings. This is Liesinen’s fourth solo exhibition in Helsinki.

“In this exhibition, I aim to create an atmosphere where disturbance and harmony coexist. The imagery in the works is free to move between different situations, imaginations, and worlds. The serial size of the paintings and the limited technique create a web between the works, forming a peculiar yet cohesive ambiance for the entire exhibition. The exhibition features a series of paintings as well as a few framed drawings.”

Peetu Liesinen is a Master of Arts, having graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 2020. Liesinen also studied at the Berlin University of the Arts under Prof. Thomas Zipp. Liesinen’s works have been exhibited at venues such as Kiasma, Gallery Halmetoja, Rovaniemi Art Museum, SIC Gallery, Mänttä Art Festival, Lappeenranta Art Museum, Vantaa Art Museum, and abroad in Berlin, London, Stockholm, and Frankfurt.

Liesinen’s works are part of the collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, the State, the Saastamoinen Foundation, and the Wihuri Foundation, as well as several private collections.

Liesinen lives and works in Fiskars.
